As a kid, Barb loved true stories and had the distinction of being the only 4th grader so obsessed with history that she hung out on weekends at antique stores and in her hometown’s tiny library hoping to learn odd bits of trivia about the past! Fun!!
Barb has won A LOT of awards: Caldecott Honor in 2015, a Sydney Taylor Honor, SCBWI Golden Kite, Orbis Pictus Honor Book, and a NSTA Best STEM book to name a few!
The best thing that ever happened to Barb is her family, her pets, her books and meeting you!!
