I create quality, affordable, project-specific, supplemental materials connecting people with literature. As an educator and fellow author, I am skilled in navigating the needs of the educational and literary worlds.
The intent of this website is to showcase the incredible projects I've been privileged to participate in. Please contact me if you have any questions or desire to discuss a project you'd like to partner with.
My debut picture book Girls with Guts: The Road to Breaking Barriers and Bashing Records (Charlesbridge, 2019) is the tenacious history of the female athlete from the first Olympic Games to present day, including the passage of Title IX.
I ADMIT, I HAVE PINTEREST FEVER…
As many of you know, I’m the creator of Guides by Deb, a website consisting of over 300 standards-aligned teacher guides for some of the finest books in the business. For years and years, I searched for ways to promote the incredible books I’ve been privileged to create guides for. I tried platforms such as Facebook groups and special newsletters, all for naught. Finally! My quest has ended. Pinterest!!!!
Beginning in February, I began to make a concerted effort to understand this powerful platform. In less than a year’s time, my Pinterest monthly viewer rate has climbed 99.6%, putting my virtually unknown Guides by Deb website on the cyber map! Friends, Pinterest is where we all need to be. The video linked to the graphic above explains some of the reasons why.
My head literally spins with possibilities for our kidlit community on this platform. So much so, I want to help you develop your own piece of the Pinterest pie. I’m offering a couple of different ways that we might work together to do just that. You’ll find them listed on the tabs on the upper left.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. God only knows how much I love talking about the perks of Pinterest. Also, I invite you to grab the freebies I have linked below. They’re yours for the taking.
Post disclaimer: Studies show that Pinterest fever is highly contagious. Proceed at your own peril. :-)
